Dharamsala is an enchanting hill station at a distance of 17 kms from Kangra. Thriving with oak and conifer trees, you will simply be mesmerized by the snow capped mountains surrounding the town from all sides. The nearest railway station is Kangra and Pathankot is the major rail junction. Dharamsala is well connected to all major cities in India. There is plenty to do and see in Dharamsala.
St. John Church : St. John Church is an Anglican Church that was constructed in 1852, and is built in Neo-Gothic architectural style. It is dedicated to Saint John and visited by all tourists that come to Dharamsala.
War Memorial : The War Memorial is another popular spot and is surrounded by landscaped gardens and commemorates the soldiers who fought for India.
Dal Lake : Dal Lake is about 11 km from Dharamshala and is surrounded by thick Deodhar forests. This is ideal base for camping and trekking.
Hanuman-ka-Tibba : Hanuman-ka-Tibba is well famous for the trekking route and is also one of the highest spots in the Dhauladhar Mountain Range. It is also called White Mountain.
Dharamshala Cricket Stadium : This is a world famous stadium and one of the most attractive ones too, with the natural backdrops against it.

Other places to see and visit in Dharamshala are Dharamkot, Triund, Chinmaya Tapovan, Chamunda Devi, Kangra Fort, Bhagsu Nag Temple, Namgyal Monastery,  Norbulingka Institute,  Kareri Village, Tibet Museum, Tibetan Library, Jwalamukhi Temple, Bhagsu Falls, Narghota etc.
